Grammy Cathy came to visit the week before Easter and since we had such nice weather we were able to convince her to stay for Easter weekend. We took a very last minute trip "to the mountains". We stopped at an animal farm on the way - the kids had a ton of fun seeing all the different animals.
And playing at the little park there. . . Luke you are such a good driver!
Once in Ashville we walked around the shops, listened to bongo drums in the city square, and ate at a yummy pizza place.
After a sleepless night in our hotel room - thanks to our little Lukester - we decided to take a quick look at a famous hotel in Ashville. When we arrived, they were in the middle of Easter festivities and they were nice enough to let Kayla join in on some of them - she made an Easter bonnet, met the Easter bunny, and had her face painted. As we walked the halls of the hotel, we came upon their Saturday brunch - and we couldn't resist - we ate so much we couldn't eat anything until the next day.
Here is Kayla sporting her new bonnet.
After we got home, it was time for bed so the Easter bunny could come.
When we woke up Easter morning, the kids were so excited the Easter bunny stopped by our house. They loved all the candy and gifts he left for them.
Kayla made beautiful Easter eggs.
We all enjoyed the Easter Egg hunt with the neighbors.
Kayla could have used a bigger basket for all the eggs she found.
Luke didn't really need a basket as all he wanted to do was sit, open the eggs, and eat the contents.
Pics after we found all the eggs.
Since we had been going non-stop for a couple days, it was time to have a quiet Easter afternoon - where some of us caught up on our zzzzzzzzz's.
But don't worry, we still managed to enjoy a good Easter dinner.
HAPPY EASTER!

What beautiful little Bunnies you have at your home!! Luky is looking so LARGE, tall, hair growing, handsome...quite the young man. Kayla is adorable in her Bonnet she made and her Spring dress and pink hair bow. What an egg hunter she is. Surely she will be good at fishing. Cathy looks beautiful as ever, inside and out. What a special mom to come and help out, then have time to play!!
Looks like you had a nice Easter! Love the group pictures. And Luke looks just like his Daddy in the one where they are eating dinner together. CUTE!
