U2 and more

We've been celebrating Hunter's birthday for a couple weeks now. Two weeks ago we went to the U2 360 Degree Concert in Raleigh, NC and it was so much fun. Hunter has been to a few of their concerts and he thought this was one of their best. The 360 Degree staged allowed for great viewing, especially when they came out on the catwalk. U2 bandmembers definitely know how to put on a good show! On the way home, we stopped at the Waffle House . . .it seemed like every U2 concert goer had the same idea as we stopped at a handful before finding one that wasn't overly busy. Then it was time to make the 2 1/2 hour drive home. . . despite the terrible traffic and long drive, we had a great night!

Then last weekend, Hunter got his "pseudo" birthday since its never any fun when your birthday falls on a weekday. So, we ate waffles for breakfast, pizza for dinner, and apple pumpkin cake for the birthday celebration. To top that off, Hunter received great presents, didn't have to lift a finger all day. and he got to watch the Yankees beat the Twins.

Then on his real birthday, he had a really long day at work. At least he came home to a homemade pecan pie - his favorite! And he had lots of phone calls and emails from loved ones wishing him happy birthday - what more can you ask for!
