Kayla performed in her first dance recital yesterday! She did such a wonderful job and we are so proud of her. She performed in two numbers. . ."76 Trombones" (tap) and "Never, Never Land" (ballet).
She broke her collar bone just over a month ago and a week after breaking her collar bone, she decided she wanted to continue with her ballet/tap class (we couldn't let her continue on with her acrobatics class as she
obviously couldn't do cartwheels and back-bends with a broken collarbone). So she went back to ballet/tap class and practiced her numbers with one arm in a sling!
Last week, she was able to take her sling off and start lifting her arm more. Yesterday, when she performed you would have never have known she had a broken collar bone as she was able to lift her arm and perform her dances perfectly. Way to go Kayla!!
Kayla is the one on the very left in all of these above recital pictures.
