Our oldest child went to her first day of kindergarten yesterday. All summer I have been dreading this day as it is hard to watch my first born grow up.
But she was excited to be a big girl and go to kindergarten.
Until she had to wake up at 6:15 a.m. Luckily offering her pancakes made her smile.
By 7:00 a.m., the backpack was on and she was ready to go (so was Luke).
We took her into her class and she was quick to settle in. It was mom that broke into tears.
But we are all happy about her teacher and the school she is attending is great.
Before we knew it was time for her to get home.
We went out to the bus stop to greet her . . . here comes the bus. . .
Here she comes off the bus!
And here she is with all of her stuff from her first day of class.
She was excited to tell us what a great day she had and her favorite parts were "all of it." But I think it was the pizza she talked the most about. We asked if she liked it better than preschool, she said "no way" but then replied "ummm . . . well. . .I like it the same?!?"
We love you Kayla and we hope you have a wonderful kindergarten year!
