Valentine's Day was really fun this year as Kayla was old enough to enjoy making valentine's day cards and treats. I think every day for about a week . . . we baked either cookies or cake. . . and of course, we ate all of them.
Kayla decorated a lot of really cute cards. Her favorites were the ones with candy hearts glued on, since most of the hearts made their way into her mouth instead of onto the card :-)
As far as Valentine's Day was concerned, we had a pretty nice day. . . better than some years. Hunter and I used to have a Valentine's Day curse. Every time we would go out to a nice restaurant or make a nice meal at home, something went terribly wrong. So a couple years ago, we decided to do a more low-key celebration and went to Panera for dinner, and it was the best -the curse lifted. Panera was never busy on Valentines so we could sit in front of the fire and have a nice relaxing meal filled with conversation. So, that was the plan this year until I I had a craving for the Flying Biscuit, a restaurant that serves delicious breakfast items all day. Out of the numerous times we have been there - this was the first time I was disappointed in the food and the service. And our kids were off the hook - Kayla and Luke fussed or cried through the whole dinner. Next year we will be back at Panera. . . no matter what I am craving.

We love our Valentines and the Sweetie Kayla who made them. All candy hearts were intact. Next year Luke will join in the fun!
Thank you for a fun February visit.
Miss you. Love Grammy Shar-Shar
