Happy Halloween!

Our kids had a weekend of Halloween fun. . . Saturday night it was Trunk or Treating at the church, where they scored a lot of candy quickly and ate chili and cupcakes.
Here they are all ready to go to the Trunk or Treat:

On Sunday, Kayla and Luke wanted to carve pumpkins, which really meant mommy and daddy carved pumpkins while the kids ran around the house!  But Kayla and Luke got to choose the designs . . . they both wanted something a little scary . . . a cat with wings and the Grim Reaper!

And finally, On Monday it was time for the real thing!

It was cute to watch the kids run up to the doors by themselves. . . Luke was the funniest. . . He always wanted to "choose" what candy he got from the neighbors (which didn't always go over so well) and then as soon as he got a piece of candy it went straight into his mouth!  The most embarrassing part of the night is when Luke ate a piece of candy and then gave the candy wrapper back to the lady at the door!

After about an 1 1/2 hours of trick or treating, we were all ready to come home. . . everyone was cold and my back couldn't handle any more walking around with my big preggo belly!

After returning home, it was cute to see how excited the kids were to hand out candy to other trick or treaters  . . .I think Kayla liked giving out candy just as much as getting candy.

Our cute, ferocious lion . . .
Kayla with a friend. .  .

Kayla and Luke at Papa's house . . .Papa was brave to sit out on his porch all night handing out candy as it was quite chilly!
Returning home from trick or treating. . . don't they look spooky!
Here is a picture of the kiddos with their pumpkins!
Hope everyone had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
