The next morning we woke up to celebrate Christmas and found a wintry wonderland. Kayla and her cousin Jakie were so patient waiting to open their Christmas gifts as we had to wait until everyone in the household was awake (ie. me). Finally, it was time for presents. Kayla had opened her big present (the princess scooter) before she left as Santa knew we couldn't get it back on the airplane. So she only had a handful of presents, but she didn't care - in fact, after opening up her first present (the fishing game) we had to prod her to open more gifts. . . who knew Santa could have gotten away with less. Luke loved opening his gifts, so he could chew on the wrapping paper. 
Christmas night we focused on the spiritual side of things as we reenacted the nativity story.
The next day Kayla finally got to play in the snow. She went sledding down the sidewalks and made snow angels.
Hunter was able to spend a couple days in the snow as well - he went skiing and snowmobiling in the backcountry.
We enjoyed the rest of our vacation by eating at numerous yummy restaurants, shopping, watching movies, and hanging out with Hunter's family and my brother and his family. It was so fun to catch up with everyone. We miss everyone already.

Does cute Luke have a Scottish kilt on? So adorable. And speaking of adorable, as in angels, what a precious photo of Kayla doing her best snow angel "dance." This was a Christmas to remember!
Sounds like you guys had lots of fun and enjoyed snowy side of winter. We won't be seeing that for a while yet... Oh well. I'm glad the snow waited until you were already in Utah.
It was fun to see you guys for the Holidays! Avyrlie had a ball with your daughter and we all enjoyed your wife's gaming style ;)
